WORKSHOP SERIES ON COLOUR

Basic Colour Theory and Colour Mixing
Saturday 9 August - Tutor Rose Shepard
This workshop aims to take the mystery out of the use of colour. You will learn about the different qualities based on Itten's colour system. You will aslo learn how to use essential basic colour theory so that you can mix the colours you want.

Colour and Composition
Saturday 23 August - Tutor Errol Shaw
This workshop will develop your understanding of the ways that colour can be used as an important part of composition. You will study the paintings of a variety of artists and take note of how they use colour. From your selection of different colour compositions you will explore possibilities to develop further yourself.

Colour and Expression
Saturday 6 September - Tutor Jules Findlay
This workshop will to allow you to explore your personal and cultural response to colour through a series of creative exercises. You will also examine the expressive use of colour by artists who represent various western art movements.

Colour in Interiors
Saturday 20 September - Tutor Diana Polkinghorne
This workshop will introduce you to the use of colour in interior spaces and develop your understanding of the effects that colour will create in your living environment. You will learn how to make colour selections from small samples and where to emphasise colour in either your own project or one provided by the tutor.
All are 1 day workshops at $70 each per person
